Olivia is a charming female Weimaraner mix, approximately 2-3 years old and weighing around 40 lbs. She was rescued in Saltillo, Mexico, in September 2023 after being found in a vulnerable state, possibly with a spinal or hip injury. Despite her past hardships, Olivia is a remarkably happy, affectionate, and playful dog who truly cherishes her current foster home. She's incredibly grateful for the simple comforts of a safe place to sleep, regular meals, and loving attention. Olivia is known for her independent spirit and her boundless energy, seemingly unaware of any physical limitations. She loves to make people smile and is eager to share her love and joy with her forever family.
Ideal Home
Olivia would do best as the only dog in the household. She needs a home with a fenced backyard and a family who understands the commitment and patience required for a rescued animal. Potential adopters should have experience with dog behavior and training, as well as a high tolerance for a dog who is not yet house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Olivia is up-to-date on all her health protocols, including spay/neuter, vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, and has tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly preventative medication for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Olivia is not house-trained and will require ongoing patience and consistent training to achieve this. Her foster family is unable to provide extensive house-training due to the large number of rescued pets they care for.

Transportation
Olivia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast as part of an upcoming cross-country trip. Transport fees of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure and cover delivery to the adopter's home address.
