Meet Boomer, a handsome ~2-year-old, 54 lb Bulldog/Bully mix with a short coat. Boomer arrived as a stray with an injured ear and no collar, in need of immediate care. Thankfully, a kind family took him in, got him vet attention, and discovered he was not microchipped. After their efforts to locate an owner proved unsuccessful, they have been fostering him for a few months, during which he's blossomed into a resilient, sweet, and loyal companion. He has even made a canine friend with their family dog after slow introductions. Boomer is a strong, confident, and affectionate boy who loves head and belly rubs, enjoys curling up on blankets, and is happy to relax near his people after a walk. While he may appear imposing, he's a gentle and loving soul.
Ideal Home
Boomer would thrive in a home that can provide structure, patience, and love. He's a strong boy, so a confident handler will be beneficial for his continued training.
Ongoing Health
Boomer is up-to-date on shots, neutered, and microchipped. His injured ear has been treated.
Training & Support
Boomer has excellent house manners and is fully potty trained. He is comfortable in a crate and has earned free-roam privileges, sleeping through the night. He is generally a quiet dog, though he snores when relaxed. While he has made good progress with leash training, he can still pull at times and will benefit from continued training and structure. He can get excited and may jump up when greeting people but responds well to redirection. Play is still a work in progress, but he enjoys being active and engaged.
