Rosie - Special Needs

Meet Rosie!

Rosie is a delightful 8-year-old, 5.5-pound female Chihuahua with a heart as big as her tiny frame. She was found as a stray and is now looking for her forever home. Rosie loves to be part of the action, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is content cuddling with her family. She has a good appetite and enjoys her meals, even though she's missing a few teeth.

Ideal Home

Rosie would do well with older, mature children (8 and older) and other dogs. Her ideal home would be one that can accommodate her special needs.

Ongoing Health

Rosie has a condition that affects her bowel control while she is sleeping, as she cannot feel the need to go. This requires medication twice a day for the rest of her life. Otherwise, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and on prevention.

Training & Support

Rosie is not a fan of crates and will bark if confined. She sleeps peacefully in her own bed. Her new family should be prepared to manage her bowel control needs with medication and a consistent routine.

Rosie is being fostered in the Dallas, TX area and must be adopted within the Dallas or North Central Texas area.
