Gordo is a wonderfully gentle and thoughtful American Bully mix, weighing around 69 lbs. He has a squishy face that melts for belly rubs and a quiet charm that will win you over. Gordo is a low-energy boy who enjoys a go-with-the-flow lifestyle, with just the right amount of goofiness. He loves a good game of tug-of-war but is also content to entertain himself. He's been introduced to many dogs and meets them with friendly confidence, preferring to observe rather than be the center of attention. If another dog gets a bit too pushy, Gordo handles it with grace by simply walking away or offering a mild correction.
Ideal Home
Gordo would do best with dogs his own size or larger, ideally a calm, aloof female who isn't looking for constant play. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. He would also do best with older children as he continues to learn his manners. He needs a steady, confident person who is ready to be part of his journey of becoming his best self.

Training & Support
Gordo has basic leash skills but can be strong due to his size. He'll need someone who can confidently guide him on walks, making them a fun, engaging team activity. He is very food motivated, which will be a great asset in his training. Someone familiar with bully breeds who understands how to channel his enthusiasm into good habits would be ideal.

Transporation
Gordo is located in Texas and can be transported to various drop-off locations nationwide. Our rescue run USDA-certified transport system ensures safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Available drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will be able to track their journey in real-time and receive photo updates.
