Wrangler

Meet Wrangler! This handsome 2.5-year-old Fox Red Labrador Retriever is looking for his forever home. Despite a rough start, Wrangler is affectionate, playful, and loyal. He was rescued after living in a car with other dogs near Yakima, and has been shuffled around a lot. He's fully vetted, potty and crate trained, knows basic commands, and rides great in the car. Wrangler thrives with positive reinforcement and would love a friendly dog companion in his next home.

The quintessential Lab, he loves swimming, fetch, tennis balls, and proudly carrying his favorite stuffies. Wrangler is working on improving his leash skills in his foster home; he is a moderate puller to start because walks are just so exciting! He quickly bonds with women, but is a bit shy around men and will need slow introductions. When overly excited, he will gently mouth his human and hop around to express his excitement, so older children only please.

Wrangler would do best in a quiet home with dog parents who enjoy walks and will give him sufficient exercise and continue his socialization. Because he can be shy or overwhelmed in new environments, patience, positive reinforcement, and structure are a must. A fenced yard would be best. Wrangler has been known to chase cats, so a cat-free home would be the smoothest transition.
