Zena

Meet Zena! This 3-year-old, 51-pound pit bull/bully mix is full of personality and affection. Zena is a smart and athletic girl who loves to swim, go for walks, and is a seasoned road-tripper! She enjoys playing with other dogs at the park, but also loves to relax at home with her favorite humans, napping with a bone or watching the world go by. Zena is curious and eager to learn, especially when treats are involved, and is always up for an adventure, whether it's a hike or a cozy evening in. She sleeps wherever she's comfortable, alternating between her people, the couch, or her own bed. Zena is potty and crate trained and does well when left loose in the home.

Ideal Home

Zena would thrive in a home where she can roam freely. She is great with older, considerate children and enjoys the company of other dogs. While she can be a bit nervous when strangers first enter the home, she warms up quickly with slow introductions and treats, and is comfortable meeting new people in public.

Ongoing Health

Zena has a history of separation anxiety, but with medication and guidance from a behaviorist, she has shown significant improvement.

Training & Support

Zena's new family will receive ongoing support from her behaviorist to help with her transition and continued success.
