Apollo

Meet Apollo! Apollo is a three-year-old male Labrador Retriever/Doberman mix who came to us with his sister, Lunna. Their previous owner had to move and could not bring them along, so they are now looking for their forever homes. Apollo is the embodiment of "man's best friend." With his heart as big as the sun, Apollo will quickly snare your heart with his affectionate and curious nature. He loves exploring the world and is always up for an adventure, whether it's a walk in the park or a game of fetch. Apollo is loyal and friendly, and will always be by your side, offering a listening ear and a warm, loving presence. Apollo has had some training and knows basic commands. He is eager to please and quick to learn, making him a joy to be around. Apollo has lived with other dogs and cats and did great with them all. With his lovebug personality, we think he would adore kids, but keep in mind that he is over 100 pounds and could knock children down! He will need to be supervised around any little ones to make sure he isn't causing any injuries by accident. Apollo is housebroken and fully vaccinated.

Ideal Home

Apollo would thrive in a home with plenty of room to accommodate his size. He will not make a good apartment dog. He has not been around children yet, but we think he would adore them. However, because he is over 100 pounds, he could accidentally knock children down, so he will need to be supervised around any little ones to ensure their safety.

Ongoing Health

Apollo does have some yeasty ears at times. Over-the-counter ear drops can help manage this, or a veterinarian can provide medicated drops for infrequent use. Regular ear cleaning should keep this from being a significant issue.

Training & Support

Apollo knows basic commands and is eager to please, making him a joy to train.
