Hello friends! My name is Onyx!

Just like the beautiful gemstone I'm named after, my soft black coat shines wherever I go. I even have a little splash of white on my chest that makes me extra handsome, if I do say so myself! My friends also like to call me their little polar bear because of my fluffy face and teddy bear looks. Personally, I think I'll happily answer to either one, especially if it comes with a belly rub or a tasty treat!

I'm a 3-year-old boy who loves making the most of every day. If there's something new to sniff, a ball to chase, or a toy to carry around, I'm all in. I even got to pick out a brand-new toy at the pet store recently, and I was pretty proud of my choice! Walks are one of my favourite parts of the day because there are so many exciting smells to investigate, and I always enjoy spending that time with my people. When it's time to learn, I'm happy to give it my best shot. I already know sit and down, and I'm working hard on building my confidence while learning even more. Training is especially fun when treats are involved!

During this hot summer, I've been enjoying cooling off with my foster's doggy water pad! Nothing is better than splashing around and catching the water in my mouth. After a day of fun, I'll do a dramatic flop onto the ground to make you laugh while I take a well-deserved nap. Whether we're heading out for a stroll, tossing a ball around the yard, or relaxing together after a fun day, I'm happiest when I'm with my people. If you're looking for a teddy bear of a dog who's always up for making memories together, I just might be your guy.
