Meet Venus! This 5-year-old, spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix is a true gem, weighing around 45 lbs. Venus is an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl who loves to rest her head on your lap and gaze at you with adoration. She's calm, people-oriented, and happy to match your energy, whether you're relaxing on the couch or heading out for an adventure.
Venus has experience living with other dogs and enjoys playful wrestling and romping with her canine pals, especially during backyard zoomies. She also loves toys and engaging with her humans in play. Her goofy charm shines through with her excited "woos" and her absolute delight in playing in water, whether it's a kiddie pool or a stream. She's also a fantastic car rider, making her the perfect companion for road trips and outings.
While Venus is curious about the cats in her foster home, showing a strong interest in chasing them, a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be ideal. She enjoys daily walks and is particularly fond of nature trails, though she's still working on leash manners and can sometimes pull. She's a quick learner and very food motivated! Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and can be trusted alone loose in the house. She eats enthusiastically and does best when fed separately with a slow feeder. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she is truly part of the family. A home without cats or with very dog-savvy cats is recommended.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA. Transports run every few weeks, and approved adopters will be placed on the next available transport. Out-of-state adoption is possible for approved adopters.
