About Larissa

Larissa, a mature Plott Hound mix, is a truly special girl with a heart of gold. She earned her nickname "Tazzi" from her foster family due to her unique brindle coat and markings, which resemble a Tasmanian tiger! Larissa is a gentle soul who will softly nudge your hand with her nose when she's seeking affection. She spent nearly ten months as a survivor in a Houston park, raising her two puppies and wisely avoiding capture. Through it all, she maintained a kind spirit, accepting food from strangers. Now, this cautious survivor has blossomed into a dog who readily trusts new people and quickly forms friendships. Once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and easygoing personality truly shines. Larissa has a wonderful knack for balancing activity and relaxation. She enjoys her daily walks, exploring new sights and smells, and loves to romp with other dogs. Having a canine companion is very important to her, and she absolutely lights up when she has a dog friend to play with. After playtime, she's content to curl up for hours, often choosing her crate as her cozy sanctuary to recharge. Larissa is the perfect companion for someone looking for a low-key but adventurous dog. She'd love to join you on hikes, neighborhood strolls, and all of life's adventures, while also being happy to relax at home with you.
