Prince is a handsome gentleman, approximately 2 to 2.5 years old and weighing between 58 and 64 pounds. He came to us as a transfer from a high-kill shelter where he was surrendered due to no fault of his own. Prince was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding, but thankfully, we were able to intervene. He was heartworm positive but has since completed treatment with no complications, and he also had an eye issue that has been successfully corrected with surgery. Prince is now neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He has truly blossomed into a gem and is ready to find his forever home.
Ideal Home
Prince would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can play and explore. He would also enjoy a canine companion to share his adventures with, though it's not a strict requirement. He's a medium-energy boy and would most likely not be a good apartment dog. He can be a part of a family with children, a couple, or even a single person, as long as he's included in daily activities. He is not to be left in a yard with tie-outs or electric fences.
Ongoing Health
Prince has successfully completed his heartworm treatment and his entropion eye surgery. He is fully vaccinated and neutered.
Training & Support
Prince is crate trained and potty trained. He knows commands such as "sit," "come," and "heel" for leash walking, and he takes treats gently. He was previously noted to hump other dogs but no longer does so since being neutered. He is treat and food motivated but not food aggressive.
