Duke

Meet Duke, a 4-year-old, 78lb bundle of German Shepherd love! Duke is the perfect blend of couch cuddler, backyard explorer, and devoted companion. He truly believes he's a lap dog and will happily snuggle up next to you, especially during TV time. He's gentle and playful, and has a great time carrying his toys into his crate, which he also loves for snoozing. While he can be a little nosey when he wants attention, it's just part of his undeniable charm!

Ideal Home

Duke would love to be the "only child" in his forever home or share it with a playful and respectful dog. He does not like to share his food or his crate with other dogs, so he prefers to eat his meals in his crate with the door closed to enjoy them in peace. A securely fenced yard is a must for Duke, so he can safely run, explore, and chase those pesky squirrels! He has an easygoing nature and would likely do well with older, respectful children after a meet-and-greet. He has not met any cats yet, but he is open to introductions.

Ongoing Health

Duke is a healthy boy, and all assessments regarding his breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians.

Training & Support

Duke is already house-trained and crate-trained! He does let out a little howl when you leave, but he settles down quickly once you're gone – he just misses you! He walks beautifully on a harness and enjoys his daily walks to keep his mind active and engaged.

Transporation

Duke is located in North Carolina. We assist with coordinating transportation by both land and air whenever feasible.
