Olivia is a beautiful female Weimaraner mix, approximately 2-3 years old and weighing around 40 lbs. She was rescued in Saltillo, Mexico, in September 2023 after being found in a vulnerable state, possibly with a spinal or hip injury, and abandoned. Despite her past hardship, Olivia is a happy, affectionate, and incredibly funny dog who loves to bring joy to everyone she meets. She is independent, grateful, and full of life, eager to share her love and attention with her new family.
Ideal Home
Olivia would do best as the only dog in the home. She needs a family willing to give her at least 3 months to show her true personality, understanding that rescued animals may need time to decompress. A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. Her ideal family will have an open conscience regarding the needs of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, is essential.
Ongoing Health
Olivia may have a past spinal or hip injury, but she doesn't let it slow her down and lives her life to the fullest. She has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Olivia is not house-trained, and her foster home has been unable to focus on this due to the demands of rehabilitating many rescued animals. Her new family should be prepared to continue her training with patience and consistency.

Transporation
Olivia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available and is an additional fee.
