Meet Hula Hoop! This sweet girl came into our care from a hoarding situation where she was clearly neglected and significantly overweight. She was nearly 28 lbs, earning her the name Hula Hoop due to her shape! After a dedicated and gradual weight loss journey, she now weighs a healthy 12.8 lbs and is no longer hula hoop shaped!
Her bloodwork is now perfectly healthy. We believe Hula to be a Miniature Pinscher mix, around 9 years old. She has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and is completely potty trained. She is now ready for her new name and her new forever life.
She's affectionately known as Hula these days and is looking for an adopter who will be patient as she warms up. Once she forms a bond, she is incredibly loving, often smiling and wagging her entire body with joy when you speak to her. She is so eager to share her love and find a place to call her own.
Hula is seeking an adopter who can be her everything. We've observed that she seems to prefer female humans. Due to past neglect, her forearms/wrists are sadly damaged, meaning she shouldn't be expected to go on long leashed walks and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard. She gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a home without cats. She truly deserves a patient adopter who will give her the world.
Ideal Home
Hula would do best in a home with a fenced yard and would prefer a home without cats. She seems to prefer female humans.
