Axel was found abandoned near a neighborhood, but he is now ready to find his forever home. He approaches life with enthusiasm and loves to explore and carry objects that feel important to him, like sticks, ropes, and leashes. Axel is smart, food-motivated, and learns quickly when given clear and consistent direction. He is friendly but measured with people and prefers older children who understand personal space and adults who appreciate a dog with a personality. Axel is social but independent with other dogs, enjoying the company of opposite-sex dogs, but he does not need a full house to feel complete.
