Meet Sussy, your soon-to-be adventure buddy for life! Sussy is an approximately 3-year-old, 60-pound Labrador mix who was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas. She's a ray of sunshine, always seeming to smile with a joyful and loving personality that's impossible to resist. Sussy is incredibly loyal, polite, and intelligent, forming strong bonds with her favorite people. If you're looking for a fun companion, Sussy is your girl! She's playful, energetic, athletic, and always up for a new adventure. She would thrive with an active family that loves including their dog in hiking, running, camping, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. Sussy is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is a fantastic car rider, making her a great companion for everyday life and weekend escapades. She's waited long enough for a family to call her own, and in return for your love, she'll offer endless smiles, unwavering loyalty, and a lifetime of unforgettable memories.

Ideal Home

Sussy would thrive in a home with families that enjoy outdoor activities and have a fenced backyard. An ideal home would also have experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies. Adopters should have an open conscience about the needs of street animals and their journey of protection and education.

Ongoing Health

Sussy has received a spay/neuter, DHPPI vaccine, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She also comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Sussy is not house-trained, and adopters should be aware that the rescue is unable to house-train every foster due to the large number of animals they care for. They request adopters have experience in dog behavior and training and be willing to provide ongoing support and education for rescued animals.

Transportation

Sussy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
