Cold Stone

Cold Stone is a handsome young boy with a whole lot of love to give! He's a Lab and hound mix, about 1 year and 4 months old, and weighs around 47 lbs. Cold Stone is eager to find his forever home where he can go on sniffy walks, embark on adventures, and attend dog school to show off his smarts. After a day of fun, he'll be ready for pets, cuddles, and belly scritches. He promises to return all the love and loyalty he receives with adoring gazes and happy tail wags.

Ideal Home

Cold Stone would love a home where he can be an active part of the family, enjoying walks and adventures. He gets along well with other dogs and we're happy to discuss integration techniques for homes with cats or children.

Ongoing Health

Cold Stone tested positive for heartworms but has completed treatment. Dogs who have been treated for heartworms can live full, active lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks post-treatment and remain on monthly heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

We cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken, but Cold Stone is working on his crate training. He would benefit from attending dog school to continue his learning.

Transportation

Cold Stone is currently in a South Carolina shelter and needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to travel there.
