Freddy

Freddy is an absolutely loving boy, about 5 years old and weighing 34 lbs. He is a spirited terrier/Australian shepherd mix who is eager to find his forever family. Freddy was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where he was chained to a tree for three years. Despite his past, he has blossomed into a sweet and calm companion who loves being around people and exploring the world. He is very obedient and well-behaved, and his gentle affection makes him a great candidate for a family.

Ideal Home

Freddy would thrive in a home where he can continue to explore and learn. He is friendly with most dogs but can be territorial with some males, so a home with a careful introduction to resident dogs would be best.

Ongoing Health

Freddy is healthy and up-to-date on all his vetting, including vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Training & Support

Freddy's past means food is a primary interest for him, so consistency with feeding will be helpful. He is very obedient and well-behaved but is still learning about the world, so some basic training will help him continue to grow. He will bark to communicate and sometimes when he's excited, but he is generally quiet and calm in the car. He is also housebroken and walks well on a leash.
