Maskawi (20250702-04)

Maskawi is a sweet and spirited 10-month-old Husky mix, weighing approximately 70 lbs. This handsome boy, with his striking black and white coat, is a survivor who was once on his own for days before being reunited with his sister. His name, meaning "strong metal," truly reflects his resilient spirit. Maskawi is looking for a patient and loving adopter who can provide him with consistent guidance and structure to help build his confidence. He does take some time to warm up, but once he feels safe and secure, he blossoms into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. He's eager to share his thoughts with you once he trusts you!

Ideal Home

Maskawi would thrive in a home with a yard and would benefit greatly from having another dog to help him feel more comfortable and confident. He's good with other dogs and cats, showing interest but respecting their space. He can also do well with children, as long as they are respectful of his need for space. He is not ideally suited for apartment living.

Ongoing Health

Maskawi has no known medical issues and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Maskawi is house-trained and crate-trained. He is working on leash walking and car rides, and is making good progress. He enjoys chew toys and can be a barker when excited. He is a flight risk until he is bonded with his new family. While he is fed in his crate, he shows no aggression when taking treats with other dogs present.
