Duncan

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, approximately 1 year old and weighing about 19 lbs. He's a typical multiple breed mix with a lot of Chihuahua! Duncan loves to play with his squeaky toys, enjoys petting, and soaks up lots of attention. He's a quiet and well-behaved pup who seems to be pretty house-trained and does well on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs.

Ideal Home

Duncan would thrive in a home that can offer him plenty of attention and playtime. We do not adopt to homes with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms when he was rescued. He has successfully completed treatment following the American Heartworm Society's protocols. We typically see dogs test negative for heartworms within 4 to 6 months post-treatment.

Training & Support

Duncan is pretty well house-trained and does well on a leash, but he could benefit from continued training to further polish his skills.

• The adoption fee is $500.
• All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. They are also on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.

Transportation

Duncan is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. The adoption fee includes transportation.
