Jake

Jake is an amazing pup who also happens to be blind, but you wouldn't hardly know it once he gets settled into a new space! He maps out new areas quickly, often within a day. While he can see some shadows in very bright light and may bump into things, Jake learns incredibly fast and adapts to his surroundings. He's amazing to watch in action, and he's even joined us on hikes and plays well with other dogs. He knows his kennel and goes in without a fuss for a treat.

Jake arrived at a south Texas shelter around 3 months old and spent about three months there before being rescued with the help of a foster. We estimate he's currently 9 to 10 months old. He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on prevention, making him all set to find a loving family!

Ideal Home

We're looking for an active family for Jake. He thrives with plenty of outdoor playtime and enjoys the company of both human and animal friends.

Ongoing Health

Jake is blind, but he has adapted remarkably well to his disability.

Training & Support

Jake is house-trained and knows where his kennel is. He learns quickly and is eager to please, especially with a treat!
