Auggie is a 7-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is shy at first but has been making progress with his foster family. He loves playing, spending time with his foster brother Stormy, following his foster mom, cuddling on the couch, and relaxing on the deck when the weather is nice.

Ideal Home

Auggie enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play. He may take time to approach new people and is increasingly comfortable coming over when someone is sitting on the floor.

Ongoing Health

Auggie has a heart murmur that progressed from grade 4/6 to grade 6/6. His heart was previously slightly enlarged, but the May 2026 checkup found that it had not gotten bigger. He takes three heart medications and will need them for the rest of his life. His medications were reported to be working well at his December 2025 and October 2026 veterinary updates. He should have veterinary heart checks every six months. His vaccinations are up to date, and he needs food formulated for sensitive skin because other food upsets his stomach.

Training & Support

Auggie is still working on house manners but generally does well keeping his kennel clean. He enjoys relaxing around the house and will cuddle when invited onto the couch.
