Cavalier King Charles-Auggie

Auggie is a sweet 7-year-old Cavalier King Charles with a big heart, literally! He's a bit shy at first and prefers to observe from a distance, but he truly blossoms with gentle patience. Once he feels comfortable, he's a cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up on the couch and enjoy quiet time. He also enjoys relaxing on the deck when the weather is nice. Auggie gets along wonderfully with his foster brother, Stormy, and enjoys his company. He's making good progress with his house manners and is doing well with not having accidents in his kennel.

Ideal Home

Auggie would thrive in a home where he can be pampered and receive gentle affection. A patient adopter who understands his shy nature and is willing to let him warm up at his own pace would be perfect.

Ongoing Health

Auggie has a grade 4 heart murmur and a slightly enlarged heart. He is on lifelong medication to manage his condition, which is currently working well. He will need to have his heart checked by a veterinarian every six months. He also needs a special diet of food for sensitive skin, as other foods upset his tummy.

Training & Support

Auggie is still working on his house manners and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement. He often follows his foster mom around, which is a sign he's bonding and looking for guidance.
