She loves playing with other dogs and has all the makings of a wonderful companion. When she first arrived, Athena was scared of everything — the loud shelter, new people, passing cars, even the wind. With patient volunteer support, she’s learning she’s safe, and her sassy, silly side is starting to shine. She’s not a fan of the cold and will snort her displeasure before running back to warmth, but she’s also incredibly affectionate. Sit on the ground with her, and she’ll climb right into your arms. Athena is still figuring out how to trust and feel secure, and she needs a home willing to guide her with patience and kindness. With the right person, she’ll blossom into the loving, loyal companion she’s meant to be.
