Meet Big Boy, a 95 lb German Shepherd Mix with an estimated birthday of January 10, 2022. Big Boy lives up to his name, but behind his large frame is an even bigger heart. He and his brother were heartbreakingly dumped at our rescue, each with a rope around their necks. We couldn't leave them, so we brought them to safety, and now Big Boy is ready for the happy ending he deserves.
Big Boy is an active, strong, and fun-loving dog who thrives when he has room to move and a person to bond with. He did great at our last adoption event, making many new friends, both two-legged and four-legged, including children! He's still learning how big he is, so proper introductions with children are recommended. This Big Boy is a sweetheart who loves to be with people, play, and give and receive affection. He's a fun and sweet buddy, and if you're looking for a loyal companion for walks, adventures, or just to be your shadow, he's your guy. He's settling into rescue life while patiently waiting for his forever family.
Ideal Home
Big Boy would do best in an active home that understands larger breeds and can provide him with the structure, exercise, and love he craves.
Ongoing Health
Big Boy is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Big Boy is kennel and potty trained. He is also dog-friendly.

Transportation
Big Boy is located in Houston, TX. Transportation is included in the adoption fee and may include transport to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles converted for dog transport. Each adopter can track the van using the Life360 app and will receive updates from transport. Facebook chats are also available for tracking updates. Adopters must be able to use one of these services to follow their adopted dog on transport.
