Meet Rac, the raccoony pooch! This outgoing and active 62 lb Husky Mix, born around March 11, 2023, is a bundle of happiness just waiting to share his zoomies and adventures with you. Rac's distinctive raccoon-like markings are as charming as his personality. He absolutely loves playtime with his doggy friends and his foster dad, and he's always ready for a long walk or a new exploration. While he's still learning to be comfortable with car rides, he enjoys the journey once he's in the vehicle. Rac might be a little shy at first, but with a little patience and love, he blossoms into a devoted best friend.
Rac was rescued during a winter freeze, having been found roaming and fed by a kind neighbor. Fortunately, his foster dad stepped in to give him a safe and loving home. He even spent some time with a trainer to help him transition from street life to indoor living. Rac is doing wonderfully in his foster home, enjoying the company of his canine siblings, though he's a bit too energetic for kitties. His foster dad describes him as very sweet and someone who truly cherishes attention.
Ideal Home
Rac would thrive in an active household that enjoys hiking, playing with energetic canine companions, and snuggling up with loved ones. He loves trying new things and is a great travel buddy once he's in the car!
Ongoing Health
Rac is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Rac is kennel and potty trained. He is also dog-friendly.
