Zorro

Zorro is a 1-year-old, 54 lb Blue Heeler who is finally getting the chance to settle into home life—and he’s thriving! He came out of the shelter feeling overwhelmed and labeled “too much,” but what he truly needed was guidance, structure, and a chance to decompress. In foster care, he’s living with another heeler and learning what it means to be part of a home and a family —his personality is really starting to shine. Zorro is a smart, energetic young dog still growing into himself. He enjoys being active during the day and is happiest when he can wind down in the evenings with his people. He loves attention and connection, and with consistency, he continues to improve his manners and ability to settle. Zorro is a really good dog who just needed the right environment to grow. With the right fit, he’s going to make an incredibly loyal and fun companion.

Ideal Home

Zorro would do best with a calm, consistent home, an active lifestyle with regular exercise, someone familiar with herding breeds (or willing to learn), and a fenced yard or safe outlet for his energy.

Ongoing Health

Zorro is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Zorro is house trained (no accidents) and crate trained (settles well). He is still learning and may occasionally grab items or need redirection, and he does best with clear, gentle boundaries. Like many young dogs, he will benefit from continued guidance as he matures.
