Hector — Sixty Pounds, Zero Spatial Awareness, Absolutely No Regrets
Hector is going to hit you in the knees. This is not a warning so much as a certainty — he arrives at full speed, makes direct contact with your kneecaps, and then looks up at you with an expression of such complete and genuine adoration that you immediately forget what just happened to your legs. He is not sorry. He will absolutely do it again. And somehow, inexplicably, you are going to be fine with that. His foster calls him one of the best dogs she has ever met. Once the chaotic entrance energy has been accounted for, what remains is a quiet, devoted, tennis-ball-obsessed roommate who asks for very little and delivers an almost unreasonable amount in return. He does not bark. He does not destroy things. He does not make a peep as long as his three non-negotiables are met — his walk, his fetch, and his snuggles.
Ideal Home
Hector is perfectly suited for an apartment, townhouse, or condo. He is quiet, he is clean, and he is completely unaware that he is sixty pounds, which is somehow part of the charm.
Ongoing Health
Hector is up to date on vaccines, dewormer, and microchip. He has a clean bill of health from our vet.
Training & Support
Hector is crate trained and knows sit, come, kennel, and drop it. He is actively working on leave it and paw. He does have some food guarding that needs patient, consistent guidance. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
