About Hope

Hope is a 10 month old Labrador Retriever type mixed breed with a story of resilience and a heart full of love. She and her littermates were abandoned on the side of a road in Texas as young puppies. Months later, rescue was called back to the same location and found only two survivors. Hope was one of them.

Despite everything she has been through, Hope is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and full of love. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and truly wants to be part of a family, but can take time for her to acclimate as she’s already had many big changes these last few weeks.

Hope currently weighs about 45lbs pounds and is expected to be around 55 to 70 pounds full grown. She may have some Shepherd or Coonhound other breeds mixed in, but what stands out most is her gentle and loving personality.

She absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with a canine companion. A home with another friendly dog (or a few!!) would help her feel confident and happy.

Hope is:

  • House trained
  • Crate trained
  • Walks nicely on leash
  • Dog friendly and would love a dog sibling
  • Cat friendly
  • Best with dog savvy mellow children

Hope has experienced a lot of change in her young life, including transport from Texas to Pennsylvania. She may need an adjustment period in a new home, but she warms up quickly and is eager to love and be loved. She really starts to feel comfortable and open up after a few weeks.

She is looking for a stable, committed home that will give her the kindness and security she deserves.
