Mac

Mac is a handsome 4-year-old, 71 lb, neutered male Lab/Golden mix with a heart full of love to give! He came to us when his family could no longer keep him due to resource guarding with their other pets and children. Mac thrives on attention and is happiest when he's part of the family action. He's a good listener, knows many commands like "sit," "stay," "come," "fetch," "drop it," "leave it," "wait," "off," and even "no begging"! He's house-broken, crate-trained, and can be left alone without issue. Mac loves to fetch, swim, and go for car rides. He's a strong boy who enjoys wrestling for belly rubs and playing with his favorite tennis ball.

Ideal Home

Mac would do best in a home without other dogs or cats, as he has a history of resource guarding. He would be fine with older children. Because he can be a strong dog, he's not recommended for anyone unsteady on their feet. He has been known to counter-surf occasionally and may jump on people when he first meets them.

Ongoing Health

Mac is in good health, up-to-date on vaccinations, and is heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Mac is well-trained in many commands and is house and crate-trained. He pulls a bit on leash, so continued leash training would be beneficial.
