Meet Raya! This sweet girl has a past that would break anyone's heart, but she's emerged as a happy, resilient, and incredibly goofy young lady. Raya is athletic and hilarious, with a playful spirit that will surely bring smiles to your face. Her unique "deer-like" hops when she gets the zoomies are guaranteed to entertain! She's an adventure seeker who loves walks, car rides, hiking, and exploring, and will happily join you for any outing. A fenced yard is a must for Raya to safely enjoy her adventures. Once playtime is over, she transforms into a cuddle bug, wanting to be as close to you as possible. She dreams of being part of your everyday life, whether snuggled on the couch or sharing your bed.
Ideal Home
Raya thrives in an active home that includes her in all their adventures. She needs a securely fenced yard for her explorations and playtime. Due to her need for time to warm up and build trust, she would likely do best as the only dog in the home, especially for out-of-state adopters who can't do in-person introductions. A cat-free home is essential, as cats are a bit too exciting for her.
Ongoing Health
Raya is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. All our dogs are vet-checked before adoption.
Training & Support
Raya can experience some separation anxiety and does well with a sturdy crate when needed. She is not suited for homes where people are gone for 8-10 hours a day with little interaction. Raya needs slow, positive introductions to new people and dogs.

Transporation
Raya is currently located in South Mississippi. Local adopters are welcome to pick her up in Gulfport, MS. Transportation to New Orleans or Pensacola is available for an additional fee.
