Mia

Meet Mia, the sweet, sloth-faced dreamer with a nose for adventure! This 6-year-old, 14 lb Shih Tzu/Brussels Griffon mix, affectionately nicknamed "Baby Reindeer," was found as a stray and has since made her way to Wisconsin, ready to find the loving forever home she truly deserves. Mia navigates life with a quiet curiosity and a surprising zest for exploration, always ready to sniff out a hidden squeaky toy. Her elegant, long legs give her an adorable "baby reindeer" trot, and despite her gentle nature, she's a confident explorer of her surroundings. She's friendly with adults, older children, cats, and small dogs, and currently lives harmoniously with two small dog companions. Mia is a quiet girl, only speaking up when her dinner is late, and her beautiful black and white coat sheds minimally.

Ideal Home

Mia would thrive in a calm, loving home with a patient adopter who can give her time to learn the layout of her new environment.

Ongoing Health

Mia has no vision in her right eye and very limited vision in her left. She navigates beautifully using her sense of smell and memory, but she will need an adopter who understands her needs. She does wonderfully on a short leash outdoors.

Training & Support

Mia is a quick learner and knows her name and "no." She may gently bump into things at first as she memorizes her routes, but with patience and love, she settles in with grace.
