Winy is a charming 1-year-old male Labrador Creole mix, weighing about 30 lbs, who was rescued in March 2024. He's a loving, intelligent, and obedient pup with a playful spirit! Winy is incredibly sociable with people, children, and other dogs, and he absolutely adores playtime, walks, and receiving affection. While he can be a little shy when first meeting new people, he quickly melts into your arms once he feels loved. He's also dog and cat-friendly, docile, joyful, and very loyal. Winy is already crate and leash trained, and he was rescued as a tiny puppy with his siblings in the middle of a field.
Ideal Home
Winy would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and enjoy an active lifestyle with outdoor activities. Families with an open mind about the needs and behaviors of rescued animals, along with experience in dog behavior and training, would be a great fit. He requires patience and understanding, especially as he is not yet house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Winy has completed a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, receiving DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. He has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Winy is crate and leash trained but is not house-trained. Rescued animals often require dedicated attention to house-training, and his foster family has not been able to provide this due to the number of pets they care for. He will need a patient and experienced adopter to guide him through this process.

Transportation
Winy is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address on the East Coast is available for an additional fee.
