Hello there! My name is Ruby Riot, and while I have no idea where that "Riot" part comes from, I'm actually a very sweet and proper lady. I'm not only gorgeous, but I'm also a happy, well-behaved companion and a world-class snuggler. I love to play with other dogs of all shapes and sizes and am always ready for an adventure! I do well in the car and love to be out in public meeting people and getting all the pets. I have excellent leash manners and am always up for a walk, though I sometimes get distracted by other dogs and the occasional squirrel. I’m crate trained and house-broken, but I really prefer not to be in the crate because you aren't in there with me. Perhaps a bigger crate is in order! I’m still working with my foster human on basic commands. I know “sit” and “shake,” though “stay” remains a bit of a mystery to me.
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a home with a securely fenced yard (an electric fence is not acceptable) and experienced dog owners. A male dog in the home is required for socialization. My ideal family would also have children aged 8 and over.
Ongoing Health
I have a lump on my chest that the vet has checked and cleared. It's just a cyst, so nothing to worry about! All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
Training & Support
I know "sit" and "shake," but I'm still working on the command "stay." I'm crate trained and house-broken, but I prefer not to be crated if my humans aren't in there with me.

Transportation
I am located in Kettering, OH. We have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for adult dogs. Home visits are required, and exceptions for adult dogs, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis if a home visit is possible.
