Fantasma means ghost in Spanish, but this sweet boy is anything but invisible. His rescue story is unforgettable: abandoned, painfully thin, missing patches of fur, and clearly unfamiliar with love. Even then, he stayed close to the other dogs, quietly finding comfort in their company. Today, Fantasma has transformed and is a volunteer favorite! He runs and plays with confidence, is great on the leash, and enjoys human affection just as much. Fantasma does not demand attention, but once you notice him, you will fall in love. He is ready for a forever home where he can finally shine.

Transportation

Fantasma is located in Comox, BC, Canada. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight companions during the summer months, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, which remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
