Moose & Hazard (Neutered) (Bonded Pair)

Moose and Hazard are a bonded pair of best friends who arrived at HSOV in October 2024. They had shared a home and have been together in our care ever since. Both boys are now ready to find their forever home after their owner surrendered them to the dog warden/HSOV in September 2025.

Moose is a 9-year-old male Bull Mastiff with a fawn-colored short smooth coat, a docked tail, and a handsome Mastiff face featuring dark brown eyes, a black mask, black shading on his broad muzzle, a black velvet nose, and short floppy ears. He weighed 92 lbs upon arrival and was already neutered.

Hazard is a 10-year-old male Shepherd with a blond short smooth coat, a long tail, and a beautiful Shepherd face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, a chocolate brown nose, and extra-large erect ears. He weighed 77 lbs when he entered our shelter. His owner reported that Hazard is not good with cats.

These two gentlemen have shared a large suite with a private outdoor patio since their arrival. We believe it is in their best interest to find a home together. Moose gave our kennel lead some affectionate "bear hugs" and sought out extra TLC, showing their sweet personalities.

Ideal Home

A loving home that can provide a comfortable environment for two senior dogs. Hazard is not good with cats.

Ongoing Health

Hazard underwent surgery in January 2025 for the removal of masses on his lower back. He was also neutered and vaccinated for rabies during that procedure. Moose was neutered in September 2025 and also received a rabies vaccination.

Training & Support

No specific training needs are mentioned beyond general guidance for success with senior dogs.
