About Coraline

Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs and is estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining, always ready to make you smile with her quirky charm. Coraline adores playing peek-a-boo, her excitement evident in happy zoomies when you join her game. She's deeply people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, following them around like a shadow. While she enjoys your company, she's not overly clingy and expresses her affection in gentle ways like sweet puppy kisses or resting a paw on your leg. Coraline possesses a calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She’s content to entertain herself quietly with a toy or bone, and she’s incredibly social with both people and other dogs, greeting new friends with a calm approach before happily continuing her explorations. She’s the best of both worlds: playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your perfect little sidekick, shadow, and best friend.

Ideal Home

Coraline is a low to medium energy pup who enjoys short bursts of play. She would thrive in a home that appreciates a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks and backyard play sessions to longer hikes and beach days. She’ll be happiest being included in her family’s daily routine and outdoor adventures. Puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, and chew toys are a must to keep her happy and entertained. She would benefit from a family that understands she’s still gaining confidence in busy public areas and can help her socialize with more exposure as she grows. Coraline needs a home with a securely fenced yard and no apartments or condos due to her size and potential nervousness in noisy, busy areas. She absolutely needs to live in a home with another dog, as she thrives with canine companionship. She could also happily live with older children and cats who are dog-friendly. Public dog parks are not recommended for Coraline. She would do best with a human who is home more often than not, though doggy daycare a few days a week would be suitable.

Ongoing Health

Coraline is a healthy puppy.

Training & Support

Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training, and will need additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and learns quickly with positive reinforcement. She alerts her foster when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a dog door. A consistent potty routine is recommended, especially in a new environment. If a doggy door isn't available, a doggy doorbell can help her learn to notify you when she needs to go out. Because of her size and puppy exuberance, she could unintentionally knock over very young children or toddlers learning to walk. She would do best with older children who understand she’s a big, goofy puppy.
