Meet Venus! This sweet 5-year-old, 45 lb Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix is a true gem, ready to shower her forever family with affection. Venus is the type of dog who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. She's calm, people-oriented, and happy to match your energy, whether that means lounging on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure.
Venus loves to play with toys and her favorite way to interact is through play with her humans. She also has a special love for water, happily splashing in kiddie pools or streams. Her enthusiasm for life is infectious, and her "woo-woo" sounds of excitement are simply part of her charming personality. She rides well in the car, making her an ideal companion for road trips, park visits, or trail days.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, a home without cats is recommended, as she shows a strong interest in chasing them. A home with older, respectful children who understand boundaries would also be a good fit.

Training & Support
Venus is house-trained, crate-trained, and can be trusted loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners as she can pull, but she is a quick learner and very food motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites from other dogs' meals.

Transporation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible. Transports run every few weeks and approved dogs will be on the next available transport.
