Marley Mae would thrive in a home with a backyard, ideally in a more residential area away from the hustle and bustle of city noise. She enjoys relaxing in the yard and soaking up the sun. A family that appreciates a slower pace of life and can offer gentle patience and trust will win her heart. She has done wonderfully with children as young as 5 and would likely be a great addition to a family with 1-2 children, given time to adjust. She also needs at least one resident dog to help her feel comfortable and a resident cat that she has already shown to be respectful towards.

Marley Mae is believed to be a pittie mix, but her exact breed and age cannot be guaranteed. She is spayed and up-to-date on all her vetting, including DAPP, Bordetella, Rabies vaccines, and multiple deworming treatments. She also receives flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Marley Mae can be a little shy when meeting new people and in new environments, taking a moment to warm up. Patience, gentle voices, and trust are key to helping her open up. Once she bonds, she is incredibly devoted and affectionate. While she can be spooked by loud noises or fast movements, she has shown gentleness and resilience. She has excellent house manners, is not destructive, and is reliably house- and crate-trained. She also enjoys car rides, even on longer trips.

Marley Mae is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pickup options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
