Teddy

Teddy is a remarkable survivor! After a traumatic accident left his organs displaced, this little guy underwent life-saving surgery and is now on the mend. He was hit by a car and, due to a torn diaphragm, his liver, spleen, intestines, and part of his stomach had moved into his chest cavity. Thankfully, his organs are now back where they belong.

Teddy's foster describes him as a firecracker! With a mix that appears to be Chihuahua and Cattle Dog, he can be bossy, needy, adorable, and a bit OCD all at once! Once he bonds with you, he'll be your shadow and follow you everywhere. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, but he does like to be the center of attention. He's doing well with his kennel and is learning to walk on a leash, though it's still a new experience for him. Teddy is a cuddler, affectionate, and listens reasonably well.

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home where he can be the star of the show. He enjoys the company of other dogs and cats but prefers to be the primary focus.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has made a remarkable recovery from his surgery. He is on the road to a full recovery after his life-saving procedure.

Training & Support

Teddy is doing reasonably well on a leash, but it's a new skill he's still mastering. He listens to direction well and is kennel-trained.
