Duke is a deeply loyal and affectionate Pit Bull Terrier mix who blossoms around those he trusts. He's a strong-willed boy who's still learning the ropes of consistent obedience, especially when it comes to his barking. However, his loving nature truly shines through in the mornings and evenings. Duke gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including the little ones, and his favorite pastime is happily destroying toys! He has a curious appetite and will try to eat just about anything he comes across, so keeping an eye on stray sticks, tissues, or paper is a must. Duke is looking for a confident and strong leader who can dedicate time to training and help him navigate his territorial instincts. He can be a bit nippy when he doesn't like something, particularly around "his room" or his favorite person, but with patience and understanding, he can become an amazing companion. While he may be initially wary of new people, he is eager to earn trust over time.

Ideal Home

Duke would thrive with a confident and strong person who has the time and dedication to work on his training. He would do best in a home where his territorial traits can be managed and understood.

Duke is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Duke is still working on consistent obedience and will bark when told to stop. He is also a bit headstrong and can nip when he doesn't like something, especially around his space or favorite people. He is house-trained. Vigilance is needed to ensure he doesn't ingest non-food items.
