Rico

Rico is an almost 2-year-old, 62 lb male Hound/Rottie mix who was unfortunately dumped by his former family when they moved. But this sweet boy remained hopeful and has been cared for by neighbors and his loving foster family. Rico has made fast friends with his foster siblings and loves to play with other big pups. He's a cuddly companion with his foster family, though he does take a little time to warm up to new people. Rico is potty and kennel trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys playing with toys without being destructive. He's a bit of a couch potato indoors but loves to romp outside, chase balls, and play with his doggy friends. Rico has a bum rear leg that sometimes causes him to limp or sit in an unusual way, but it doesn't seem to cause him pain and he still has plenty of fun! He dreams of a home with a fenced yard to explore and a loving family to call his own.

Rico would love a home with a fenced yard so he can explore and lounge outdoors, and a loving family to whom he can devote himself.

Rico has a bum rear leg which causes him to sometimes limp or sit in a peculiar way.

Training & Support

Rico is potty and kennel trained, and walks well on a leash. He is well-behaved indoors and enjoys playing with toys without being destructive. He may take a bit of time to warm up to strangers.

Rico is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to his new home. Faith and Hope delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast, with placement in adoptive families' homes.
