Mabel

Mabel is a sweet and sensitive 1-year-old female hound mix who truly wants to please her people! She thrives on routine, clear boundaries, and structure, and we think she'd be a perfect match for adopters who enjoy training and consistency. Mabel is already crate trained, potty trained, and knows several basic commands, including sit, off, heel, leave-it, and place. She walks nicely on a leash, though she might occasionally get excited by small critters.

Ideal Home

Mabel would love a quiet home with one or two adults, as she can startle easily and may feel the need to protect her people and space. Slow introductions to new people are a must. She prefers to be the only pet in the home to have her space to relax.

Training & Support

Mabel is well-behaved at home and bonds strongly with her people. She finds her crate to be a helpful safe space to decompress and enjoys a few hours of crate time each day. While she does well with other dogs at daycare and dog parks, she prefers to be the sole pet in her home.
