Janie

Meet Janie, a sweet 42lb lady born in August 2014! Janie and her sister, Juno, arrived at the sanctuary in February 2015 after their owners could not be found. They are a bonded pair and are described as bubbly, friendly, playful, affectionate, and wiggly ladies who have a great time together. Janie has a sleek red and white coat with oval red spots on her sides and freckles on her muzzle. She is described as skilled at leash walking and enjoys giving "darting kisses."

Ideal Home

Janie and Juno must be adopted together as they are a bonded pair and cannot live without each other. They would do best in a quiet household with children over 12 years old. Cats are okay. Because they have lived in an outside pen for many years, they will need some practice adjusting to indoor living, though their short stays inside the sanctuary suggest this will not be a major issue.

Ongoing Health

Janie has no major medical problems. Juno is managing a past cruciate injury with a low-dose pain medication, but has full range of motion and does not appear bothered by it.

Training & Support

Janie and Juno may need some help with housetraining. They can be shy with new people, and will need multiple visits to get to know you. Janie tends to warm up first, followed by Juno. They are skilled leash walkers.
