Amelia is a sweet, cuddly, and playful 10-month-old Black Labrador Retriever mix, weighing about 40 lbs. She and another dog were found skinny, dirty, and covered in fleas, but now she's healthy and happy, ready for a loving forever home! Amelia is social and affectionate, though she can be a bit wary of new dogs initially before warming up. She loves to play and would do well in a home with other dogs or as the only pet. She also gets along with cats and, with her gentle nature, would likely be great with children. Amelia doesn't bark much, has no food-guarding issues, and enjoys snuggling up for a nap.
Ideal Home
Amelia would thrive in a home where she isn't left alone for long, with plenty of love, toys, and someone to share her affectionate nature with.
Ongoing Health
Amelia is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and has been tested for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma. She has also been tested for Parvo and Giardia, and has had a CBC bloodwork panel. She is current on flea, tick, and heartworm treatment and has been dewormed. Any necessary dental cleaning has been completed.
Training & Support
Amelia is not yet 100% housebroken and will need time and patience to adjust to a routine. She is also not yet leash trained and will need to be slowly desensitized to leash walking.
