Meet Phillip, a 50-pound Staffy mix with a passion for plushie toys and a talent for flinging them like an Olympian! Phillip's love for playtime is matched only by his affection for cuddles, especially after a successful bath time. He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but this big-hearted pup is gaining confidence and finding his voice every day. His leash manners are improving, and while he might occasionally try to lead the walk, a little patience and a few well-timed pauses will get him back on track.
Phillip is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes. He's proven his charm with pups his own size and even a Great Pyrenees puppy! He's also good with men and women, though he's still learning that raised hands are for petting, not for anything scary. We believe he may have had some difficult experiences in the past, so he's working on understanding that hands can be a source of gentle affection.
Phillip has a moderate to high energy level, meaning he's up for adventure but also enjoys relaxing with his people. He thrives on daily exercise and mental stimulation, whether through long walks or engaging puzzle toys to keep his bright mind busy. He is crate-trained and doesn't dig, but he does have a strong bond with his chew toys, so supervised play is recommended.
