Meet Brooklyn! This bouncy, 7.6 lb Yorkshire Terrier mix is a ~1-year-old spayed female with a whole lot of pep in her step. Brooklyn came to us as a stray and is ready to trade her wandering days for a loving home. She's a high-energy girl who thrives on activity and would likely do well with an owner who can keep up with her playful spirit. Brooklyn is a low-shedding, hypoallergenic-type breed, which might make her a good candidate for some allergy sufferers, but be prepared for her to need frequent grooming to stay looking and feeling her best.

Brooklyn would do well in any home that can meet her grooming needs. Apartment living is okay for this energetic pup.

Training & Support
As with most shelter pets, Brooklyn will need to learn house manners and potty training in her new home.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 100-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.
- You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.
- Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options.
- It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application.
- Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).
- We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.
- Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.
Transporation
Brooklyn is located at our Warren, MI shelter. We can transport to homes within a 100-mile radius.
