Lucy

Lucy is a delightful 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is ready to find her forever family! She's a compact Blue Heeler with a heart full of loyalty and a mind full of smarts. Lucy has a mellow and easy-going nature, though she can be a little bossy with other dogs. She's learned what it feels like to be loved and included while in her foster home and is eager to share that with her new family. Lucy is a champion at fetch and has shown no interest in cats, though she can be a bit peculiar around very small dogs. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in the car, and is already potty and crate trained.

Lucy would do best with someone familiar with herding breeds.

Lucy is spayed, microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.

Training & Support

Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be near her people), and leash trained. She can be timid around new people and needs a little time to warm up. Typical Heeler behaviors include supervising everyone, following her people around the house, and giving dramatic side-eye. If she doesn't like another dog, she might nibble their heels, which is classic Heeler behavior!

Lucy is located in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome! Private transport can be arranged for an additional $200, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
