At a glance
A little about them
Leo is a 5-year-old Labrador Retriever with a heart of gold. This 70-pound gentle giant is shy but loving, incredibly sweet, and happiest surrounded by family. He is learning to trust again and would love a home filled with cozy family time, companionship, and affection.
Ideal Home
Leo enjoys the company of his brother Apollo, though they are not bonded, and we would love to see them adopted together if possible. Whether adopted with Apollo or separately, Leo needs a home with another friendly dog. Homes without another dog will not be considered.
Ongoing Health
Leo has tested positive for heartworm and will need several months of treatment. His family will need to monitor him at home and follow strict exercise restrictions during recovery. The rescue will cover the cost of treatment.
Training & Support
Leo is a sweet, gentle dog who is still learning to trust. The rescue provides supplies, preventatives, and follow-up veterinary care while dogs are in foster care.
