Duri is a young, female, mixed-breed dog with a heart full of love to give, despite a past filled with fear. She was found with her brother, Jack, and spent her early life on the run, facing repeated attacks from street dogs. This experience led her to live in a constant state of survival mode. However, since her rescue, Duri has undergone heartworm treatment and completed an intensive rehabilitation program. She is now learning what happiness feels like, enjoying soft beds, gentle hands, and the space to be loved. Duri adores people, but due to her past trauma, she still struggles to feel safe around other dogs. This isn't aggression, but rather a deep-seated fear she is slowly learning to overcome.
Ideal Home
Duri would thrive in a home filled with patience and compassion, where her adopters understand her past and can provide a safe and loving environment. Due to her fear of other dogs, she would do best in a home without any other canine companions. She also needs a home that can provide her with a lot of reassurance and positive reinforcement.
Ongoing Health
Duri has successfully completed her heartworm treatment. She is spayed and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Duri's primary challenge is her fear of other dogs. She is learning to let go of this fear, but will need continued support and positive reinforcement in a dog-free environment. She is learning to trust and feel safe, and with the right guidance, she will continue to blossom.
