Shadow

Hi, I'm Shadow! I'm a shy, almost 4-year-old girl who weighs 9 pounds and celebrates my birthday on July 26th. I'm just starting my journey to becoming a confident house pet. When I first meet new people, I can be a bit nippy, but I warm up with time and patience. I get along well with the other small dogs in my foster home. I'm learning about house training and getting used to wearing a harness or collar, though I'm not a fan of leashes just yet. I do require a securely fenced yard, as I can get spooked and run, and my foster mom's fenced yard has been a safe haven for me. If you have the time, patience, and a fenced yard, I'd love to learn and grow with you!

Ideal Home

A home with a securely fenced yard is a must for me, as I need a safe space to explore and feel secure. I would likely do best in a home that understands I am still learning to trust and will give me the time and space I need to adjust.

Ongoing Health

I am spayed and vaccinated. My adoption fee helps cover my vetting needs, which include a heartworm test, pre-surgical bloodwork, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella vaccinations, spay, dental if needed, and microchipping.

Training & Support

I am still working on house training and am not yet comfortable walking on a leash. I can be a bit nippy when first meeting people, so gentle introductions and patience are key. I enjoy the company of other small dogs.
